Feb. 7/11

Welcome to my world!

Today was my 3rd treatment and it went well.  The radiologist technicians forgot my mouth guard so had to take my mask off the give it to me then.  Each "zap" is only seconds long.  There are 11 in total.  Seven on the left side, two on the right and two in the middle (of my gum line that is).

I must admit, it is kind of freaky when, at a certain point, you can look up and see yourself in the glass of the machine.  Looking back at me is a mesh mask with something coming out of the mouth...Kind of looks like something you might see in a movie - a scary movie.

My first two treatments also went well.  My first one was on Thursday, February 3.  It went well - I was expecting worse.  The techs cut the eye holes in my mask which made it much better.

My second treatment was an early surprise.  My appointment was scheduled for 3:50 on Friday but the office called me at 10:15 and told me I could go at any time.  I made a mad rush, put my stuff together, headed to the hospital and then was on the GO train to Burlington by 11:45.  Thank God for our friends, John and Diane Parsons.  They treated me like a queen this weekend.  Dana high lighted my hair and it looks great.  We had a nice quiet, relaxing weekend and it was great.

I brought the GO train back to Toronto this morning, grabbed my lunch and then was off for my treatment.

I have met a very nice new friend, Janet.  She is great and we get along very!  Nice to have friends!
